Hecate is the goddess of night, witchcraft, and the new moon or night of no moon. She is also the goddess of the crossways. She is the companion of Persephone. When ever you hear dogs bark in the night at nothing, then you know she is around. She is shown with three heads, all looking in differnt directions, one down each road of the crossways.
