This page is dedicated to my best-friend, Chris. We have been friends for about seven years. We met because we are both survivors of abuse. I have never had a friend like her. She is the classiest, most compassionate woman I know. We have been through all of our pains and joys together. She was right next to me when I gave birth to my second child. (Pain and Joy!! HA HA!!) I have told her thoughts and feelings about stuff I am not sure I could share with most people. I feel at time that I wouldn't have lived this long with out her. I am not sure most people can understand that kind of friendship. I have met some that can't. She is much more then a friend te me. It is like she is a part of my soul. It is so hard to explain how much she means to me. God has put her in my life. For that I am eternally grateful.
She is quite the humble lady but I have to brag!! She is the strongest, bravest, most loyal person I know. She is a She volunteers for A.C.A.P. an organization for autistic children. Her son, Kevin, is an autisic child and she has dedicated a lot of time and energy in to enabling her child to the best quality of life!! {He is an awesome kid, too. Especially when he kisses me on the nose at 4:30 A.M.} She is a foster parent to two boys, Kevin and Kaden, and let me tell you she would throw punches for these kids. {*wink* Chris} I have not mentioned her daughter, Summer, so I have to say that she is pretty awesome, too. {The little girl inside of me thinks she is way kewl.} Anyway, these kids are great because of the wonderful parents they have in thier lives. {YES, YOU TOO, Mike!!YOU ARE THE MAN!!} I am very honored to be a part of her life. I know that because I am her friend she will never betray me. When she says she is your friend that means she will never intentionally let you down or hurt you!!
I love you, Chris. I am so proud and so grateful to be your friend.This is Xena the Warrior Princess. I will tell you why she is here. Chris went to a meeting for her foster son. His father that abused him is in total denial. Well, Chris gave him the what for and called him on his stuff big time. Anytime he dove in to his denial she ever so pleasantly {NOT!) told him the reality of the abuse and what it has done to Kevin. In the end it took a couple people to hold her down because she was about to kick some serious ass!! This is a woman who has never done anything like this before.For Kevin, For Survivor's everywhere.
