Fire In The Sky

Fire in the sky
Screaming temperate cries
Filling a disowning void
Within a hollow voice
Scaring innocent children
Running away from time
Hiding behind tall trees
Fire in the sky.
Revealing all truth
Understanding no lies
Gradual awareness
Lifeless misery
Happiness wiped away
With an ever flashing grace
Thunderous crashes above the heavens
Release the crazed fires in the sky.
Feel it in your soul
Unbelievable rush
Like a call from a reigning God
These skies filled with fire
Rage against civilization
Pronounce independence
Fire in the sky.
Releasing fear and sacred tears
From children of all ages
Run in fear
Tremble with terror
Hiding beneath tall trees
That fire in the sky
Release your salvation
Succumbing fear
These fires won’t let up
They won’t give me satisfaction
Sitting under tall trees
Rain pouring down upon my face
Released from the heaven
Empties its guilt unto an innocent child
