High schools, junior high schools, middle schools--even elementary schools--have lost students and staff members to juvenile killers seeking revenge for taunts, harassments and physical abuse from cruel individuals and groups.
School officials simply wring their bureaucratic hands and defensive parents deny responsibility when the tragedies occur.
Bullies appear to be accepted players in a traditional rite of passage on school grounds.
Students now can get suspended or expelled for possessing aspirin on campus, but not for humiliating other students.
