Who needs racial profiling to snare international terrorists?
Just focus on degrees of ugliness.
On a scale of 1-10 in creepiness, three of the major suspects involved in terrorism against America--before, during and after Sept. 11--are absolute tens.
The latest terror suspect (above at right), Richard Reid--alias Tariq Raja and Abdel Rahim--of England, is a living gargoyle.
Reid was arrested Dec. 22 for trying to detonate sneaker bombs aboard American Airlines Flight 63 from Paris to Miami.
Reid frequented a London mosque with another eerie beast, Zacarias Moussaoui of Morocco (at left)—the so-called 20th hijacker.
Moussaoui was arrested on immigration charges before Sept. 11, while trying to learn how to fly—but not take off or land—on a jumbo-jet simulator in Minnesota.
No. 1 in sheer hideousness, of course, is the late Mohammed Atta (at right). The Egyptian masterminded the Sept. 11 plot and piloted American Airlines Flight 11 into the World Trade Center’s North Tower.
