Next week, on Feb. 16, Attitude: Politically Incorrect Comment by Harry Higgens enters its fifth year of cyberpublishing.

The anniversary marks four years of weekly letters from the editor about the human condition since Feb. 15, 1999.

For the uninitiated, that’s 208 short essays on issues in cyberspace, education, family, fourth estate, language, law, literature, miscellaneous, nuisances, political incorrectness, politics, sports and the war on terrorism.

Still averaging only a few hits a day at harryhiggens.com, the Harry Higgens Foundation Society website still barely accomplishes its goal of spreading Harry’s pixels and bromides around the world.

Harry would have liked that—and the fact that HHFS celebrates two score and seven on March 29 with a reunion of believers in Southern California.

The reunion welcomes a long-lost brother from Harry’s past at Los Angeles State College, Jim Bald. Bald will be vested with the honorary title of Token Conservative Apologist.

Also expected to attend are Chancellor Emeritus Jim Voigt, Chancellor Extraordinary Charlie Britton, Emeritus Delegate Plenipotentiary Ben Mintz, Recorder of Pugilists Nick Beck, Emeritus Keeper of Salutations Carl Spring and Press Attache Politicus Anton Calleia.

Hail Harry. (9 FEBRUARY 2003)
