Are Dubya and the Democrats in bed together again on a critical issue?

You betcha.

The issue is another amnesty proposal for America’s estimated eight million illegal aliens—mostly from Mexico.

Shot down after 9-11, the Dubya proposal goes beyond attracting guest workers. It also would create a three-year visa for existing illegal aliens, leading to green-card status.

No past guest-worker program has succeeded in stemming illegal entry into the United States or Canada.

National security is at stake here. Mexican documentation is notoriously unreliable and America doesn’t have the resources to do background checks on hundreds of thousands of shadow immigrants.

Remember that one plotter in the 1993 World Trace Center bombing actually was given status as a “farm worker” under the 1986 amnesty program.

Don’t document, vet or forgive illegals. Apprehend and deport them summarily. (4 JANUARY 2004)
