Here’s further proof that America’s values are corrupt:

It pays handsomely to be tall, slender and attractive.

Who knows better than The Regional Economist, a quarterly magazine published by the Federal Reserve Bank?

Seems an analysis by the FRB finds good-lookers make more money and get promoted more often.

Unclear is whether less-attractive persons are victims of bias or if more-attractive persons simply develop more self-confidence and social skills that enhance their workplace opportunities.

Plain individuals, according to America’s central bank, suffer a nine percent penalty while hotties have a five percent “beauty premium.”

Obese persons earn 17 percent less and tall persons earn 2.6 percent more per additional inch of height.

The average male chief executive is three inches taller than average—6-0 inches compared to the typical 5-9 American male.

Size apparently counts in the marketplace. (10 APRIL 2005)
