There are four profound reasons why illegal immigration won’t be addressed to the satisfaction of most Americans after the November general election:

The two remaining candidates for the Democratic Party presidential nomination, the probable Republican Party nominee and the certain overwhelming Democratic majority in Congress.

Whoever wins the presidency won’t push for strong sanctions against undocumented residents and neither will a national party controlling Congress by huge majorities.

De facto amnesty once again will absorb millions of public-service freeloaders into legal status without enforceable penalties and realistic sanctions.

Grateful criminal trespassers will reward their political benefactors by registering to vote as Democrats, virtually assuring overwhelming victories in future elections.
