The anniversary marks nine years of weekly letters from the editor about the human condition since Feb. 15, 1999.
For the record, that’s 468 short essays on issues in cyperspace, education, family, fourth estate, homeland security, language, law, literature, miscellaneous, nuisances, political incorrectness, politics, sports and the war on terrorism.
Harry still possesses his own Internet domain at www.harryhiggens.com, which admirers and the curious around the world frequently access to pay homage.
He would have liked that—and the fact that the Harry Higgens Foundation Society celebrates two score and twelve this summer.
The HHFS inner circle wishes a happy 52th anniversary to the intrepid founders who rescued Harry from that dusty used-book store. (2 MARCH 2008)
