Just what makes him believe he is experienced enough to be President of the United States?

Sure, he served several years in the Illinois state legislature. But only two years in the U.S. Congress, folks.

Yes, he’s a superb debater and orator. So what?

No way this tall, gawky lawyer with Dumbo ears could parley his antiwar stance into occupancy of the White House.

But, hey, this essay doesn’t just describe U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois). It’s also describes Abraham Lincoln, inaugurated March 4, 186l as America’s President.

Lincoln was the first Republican to win the nation’s highest office. Obama may be the first African-American to achieve the same goal.

Vehemently in favor of citizenship for enslaved Negroes, Lincoln certainly would not turn over in his national memorial if an African-American becomes the First Citizen.
