Move over, dog-killer Michael Vick. You’ve got uniformed company.

Meet U.S. Marine Corps lance corporal David Motari of Monroe, Wash.

Motari, assigned to the lst Battalion, 3rd Regiment based in Hawaii, gleefully threw a yelping puppy off a cliff while on patrol this year in Iraq.

His horrific act was video- and audio-recorded for 17 seconds by a cell-phone camcorder and later posted briefly on YouTube in March.

Motari and his snickering companion, Sgt. Crismarvin Banez Encarnacion of the Weapons and Field Training Battalion based in San Diego, have both been given unspecified “non-judicial punishment” reserved for minor offenses.

Motari, however, also is being “processed for separation” from the Marine Corps.

Footballer Vick is doing federal hard time for his felonious role in fighting and killing pitbulls.

Motari and Encarnacion should be doing extensive brig time for their egregious animal cruelty. (15 JUNE 2008)
