Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin certainly knows the talking points scripted by her handlers.
The Republican nominee for vice president, however, really didn’t answer questions posed to her in the debate with Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), the Democratic veep candidate.
Instead she used them to spin the GOP’s political agenda.
So why the disconnect between her articulate programmed responses to debate issues and her inept responses to questions from journalists during her few granted interviews?
Simple. There were no follow-up questions forcing her to clarify her remarks during the debate.
Such as: “Can you provide more reasons for why the economy tanked?
Likely unscripted answer: “You betcha. Witches hexed it.”
Too absurd? Gov. Palin can’t even recall what publications she reads or cite any controversial Supreme Court decisions beyond Roe vs. Wade.
Gov. Palin is a Jo Six-Pack doll who parrots political puffery when you pull the string.
