Southerners pick politicians from their already low gene pool.

Want evidence? Check out the neo-Hoover Republican senators from southern states who spearheaded this week’s rejection of the Detroit Three $16-billion bailout.

Risking automaker job losses totaling 2.5 million, including 1.4 million in allied industries, the political Neanderthals are less concerned with the paltry bridge loan than with sinking the United Auto Workers union.

And, of course, with benefiting the foreign-car makers that employ thousands of nonunion rednecks in plants throughout the South.

Their inbred hatred of organized labor and embrace of unfettered capitalism could tip the scales and push America into another Great Depression.

Time to throw some fuel on the fire: Boycott travel, conventions and products made in the South.
