Republican Gov. Rick Perry of Texas has lost his marbles and wants to quit and take them home.
As in cessation from the United States if Texans get too fed up with federal taxation and spending.
His threat came after a Wednesday anti-tax “tea party” in responses to questions from the Associated Press.
Perry faces a tough bid for reelection from Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Tex.). Other opponents believe Perry wants to be president of the Republic of Texas.
Hey, most Americans believe Texas already is a foreign country,
Texas can keep Dubya, his presidential library and the Alamo national shrine if it secedes.
But it will have to pay for all of those massive federal porkbarrel installations, including NASA’s Houston headquarters and numerous military bases.
