While remaining a phenom in the music industry, Church now must share the prodigy limelight with an adolescent from the jazz world.
Meet 15-year-old Canadian Nikki Yanofsky, whose skills already rival those of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan.
Yanofsky also made her professional debut at age 12.
Critics say Yanofsky effortlessly sings with "stunning maturity" and scats "better than many who've been in the business for decades."
A resident of Montreal, Yanofsky since 2006 has performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall and jazz festivals in Jamaica, Montreal, Toronto and other venues.
