Good luck with that transparency thing.

Take a close look at those political tracts in your mailbox or received on street corners and at your door.

Ditto those never-ending broadcast political ads.

Few if any mention the political affiliation of the candidate.

You won't devine the truth until you scan an official voters' pamphlet or receive your ballot--documents that require such disclosure.

Why are candidates afraid to wear political labels?

The messages they convey surely spill the beans:

Republicans rant about taxes, spending and governnment in general.

Democrats rant about tax breaks for the rich, earmarks and the need for tougher government regulations.

And Tea Partiers rant about birth certificates, closet Muslims and masterbation. (17 OCTOBER 2010)
