Conservative politicians aren't sponsoring anti-public union legislation in several states because of budget problems.
And conservative Congresspersons aren't seeking to defund National Public Radio just to deny a few million dollars in federal subsidies to an independent network uninfluenced by advertising revenues.
No, those efforts are thinly disguised punishments for unions and broadcast journalists supporting or airing liberal or moderate ideas, issues, programs and actions.
Or--horrors--not supporting right-wing causes.
