Broadcast commentator Don Imus lost his cable network show because of his racial slur about female collegiate basketball players.

But broadcast commentator Rush Limbaugh--voice of the Republican Party--probably won't lose his satellite radio show after he called a Georgetown University law student a "prostitute" and "slut."

Co-ed Sandra Fluke got on Limbaugh's bad side by telling an unofficial U.S. House hearing that Georgetown's student health insurance doesn't cover contraception costs of about $3,000 yearly.

Limbaugh said Fluke wants to be paid to have "so much sex she can't afford her own birth-control pills."

Democrats and civil-rights organizations have accused Limbaugh and Republicans of waging a "radical war on women."

Since Limbaugh refuses to apologize, supporters of Fluke have launched boycotts of Limbaugh's advertisers.

One advertizer--Sleep Train-- has pulled its ads. Still sponsoring Limbaugh are:

Quicken Loans, Century 21 Real Estate, eharmony, Sleep Number Bed, Oreck Upright Vacuum Cleaners, AutoZone, LegalZoom and Lending Tree, among others. (4 MARCH 2012)
