Just when you thought there was nothing worse for America's image than oval car races, eating contests and tailgate parties.

Enter seven-year-old Alana Thompson and her redneck family in rural Georgia.

"Honey Boo Boo" stars in a cable reality show that draws three million viewers per episode.

The pudgy beauty-contest queen gained national infamy when she appeared on the televised Toddlers & Tiaras pageant after guzzling "Go-Go Juice"--her mother's concoction of Mountain Dew and Red Bull.

Her bottom-feeding family includes grossly obese mother June, father "Sugar Bear" and sisters "Pumpkin," "Chubbs" and pregnant (naturally) "Chickadee."

When not wallowing in mud pits, the family salvages road kill, bobs for pig's feet and consumes piles of junk food.

The show portrays rednecks as fat, foul, uneducated and impoverished.

In other words, typical southern supporters of Willard and other Republicans. (30 SEPTEMBER 2012)
