All Vietnam veterans were falsely labeled "baby killers" because of infanticidal actions by a few renegade soldiers.

There's nothing false, however, about calling most local, state and national office-holders "child killers."

They refuse to ban assault rifles and high-capacity magazine clips--the instruments used to massacre 20 first-graders and six educators in Newton, Conn., kill 12 adults and children and wound 58 other theater-goers in Aurora, Colo. and kill six adults and one child and wound 13 others in Tucson, Ariz.

If such bans had not expired--because of legislative gutlessness--many of those victims would be alive and uninjured today.

Some 91 percent of Americans favor stricter gun controls--such as closing the gun-show loophole on background checks.

It doesn't much effort to conclude that politicians ignore those polls because they fear the National Rifle Assn. more than voters.

Revolvers, shotguns and hunting rifles didn't massacre scores of American children and adults. Assault rifles and semi-automatic pistols with expanded clips did that.

Recall, defeat and exile baby-killing politicans. (24 MARCH 2013)
