Conservative politicians once again seek to turn America into a nation populated by peons working for coolie wages.
The latest effort to eradicate living wages--this time through elimination of government services--is the proposal to replace home mail delivery with neighborhood postal kiosks.
The next logical step would be to allow low-wage contractors to service the concentrated mail boxes.
America's vaunted postal service would be downsized dramatically--eliminating thousands of unionized clerks and lettercarriers who traditionally support progressive politicians and programs.
An important secondary benefit for conservatives would be the loss of jobs for thousands of minorities--another bloc that opposes Facists, Bible-pounders and other right-wing fundamentalists. (28 JULY 2013)
