Playing solitaire and freecell on one's computer isn't just a colossal waste of time.

It's also addictive.

You win. You lose. So what?

It easily allows one of escape into cyberspace while pretending to be working.

The latest counter revealed a total of 46,209 times for each of those time-wasters.

At about four minutes a game, that amounts to a total of 184,836 minutes for each game session--or a total of 6,110 hours.

That's more than eight months of 24-7 play.

No cumulative record was kept of wins and loses. But one gets the sense that freecell is easier than solitaire.

Are there websites that allow betting on solitaire or freecell outcomes?

If not why? The odds certainly favor the house, just as they do in every gambling venue.
