The anniversary marks 15 years of weekly letters from the editor about the human condition since Feb. 15, 1999.
For the record, that’s 780 short essays on issues in cyperspace, education, family, fourth estate, homeland security, language, law, literature, miscellaneous, nuisances, political incorrectness, politics, sports and the war on terrorism.
Harry still possesses his own Internet domain at www.harryhiggens.com, which admirers and the curious around the world frequently access to pay homage. It still averages about 50 “page views” (hits) a day.
He would have liked that—and the fact that the Harry Higgens Foundation Society celebrates two score and eighteen this summer.
The HHFS inner circle wishes a happy 58th anniversary to the intrepid founders who rescued Harry from that dusty used-book store in 1956.
