SCOTUS AGAIN OPENS PANDORA'S BOX

SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) again opened Pandora's Box with its Hobby Lobby decision.

Siding with corporate owners of the crafts chain, the Supremes by 5-4 vote essentially allowed every religious nut to impose his beliefs on employees.

Not just by refusing to fully fund coverage for certain birth-control pills under the Affordable Care Act, but for any procedure or medication that violates religious doctrine embraced by employers.

We're talking about Jehovah's Witnesses refusing to cover blood transfusions for employees, for Scientologists disallowing coverage for antidepressants.

For Muslim, Jewish and Hindu employers nixing coverage for medications extracted from pork products (anesthesia, intravenous fluids and gelatin coatings).

The list goes on and on.

Employer religious beliefs now trump worker rights in every office, store and plant.

Not only are corporations now persons, according to SCOTUS, but corporations also can worship at will. (6 JULY 2014)
