You don't read the news, watch the news, listen to the news. It gives you the blues.
News media--newspapers, television, radio--only carry depressing news, bad news--news you don't want to know.
Unless you live in a cave, however, you can't escape bad news. Someone in your neighborhood will talk about, e-mail, phone you with unwanted information.
News outlets routinely warn consumers about pending hurricanes, tornados, floods, wild fires and other negatives that threaten lives.
Or viruses, plagues, epidemics and serial killers that attack innocent individuals--especially those who choose to be uninformed.
Don't avoid the news. Ignorance can kill. (3 AUGUST 2014)
