NO SMOOCHIES, HUGGIES HERE

Who let the dog out?

Nobody.

Nobody on the White House security detail pointed and yelled "attack" when an intruder jumped the perimeter fence, ran 70 yards and barged into the East Wing of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

The Secret Service's Belgian shepherd, a malinois from Holland, was kept muzzled and leashed by its handler during the invader's sprint.

It was finally captured on videotape, however, arriving in the grassy area dragging its leash--after the intruder's home invasion and subsequent capture.

You wouldn't want to encounter a malinois in working mode. The 75-pound attack breed is routinely deployed by SEALs and angry Israelis.

Rumor has it that the guard dog--probably called Brutus--doesn't roam freely on the White House grounds because of its territorial differences with the President's two laid-back Portuguese water dogs, Bo and Sunny.

Big teeth always trump smoochies and huggies. (5 OCTOBER 2014)
