--Don't respond with deadly force until you are shot, stabbed or bludgeoned.
--If someone refuses to submit to arrest, leave the scene and return when the perp is more cooperative.
--Shoot armed perps in their legs --even though they can still shoot, stab and bludgeon.
Crazy orders to police officers? You hear them suggested everytime a perp pulls or reaches for a real or replica weapon and is shot.
Officers don't have X-ray vision. They don't if a gun is loaded or fake, if a knife is steel or rubber or if a bat is oak or balsa wood.
If it looks real, responding officers must shoot to kill. Even pre-teens can pull triggers, stab or bludgeon.
If a child is killed brandishing or pointing a gun or knife, blame the parents for allowing the child to possess a real or replica weapon.
