THE EDITOR ORDERS 'LAST MEAL'

People can be defined by their tastes in food.

Especially those who eat the same thing all the time:

--Country-fried steak sans gravy, not filet mignon or New York cut. Chicken alfredo, not spaghetti and meatballs.

--Wild Turkey whiskey sour with shaved ice-- not the house bourbon. Gin martini, never vodka. No liquor below 100 percent alcohol.

--Pinot noir wine from Oregon, not California or Europe. Beer tastes like horse urine.

--Beef tomato chow yuk, not fried rice or chow mien. Cod or halibut, never salmon or other fishy fish. Roasted, not fried, turkey breast.

--Pumpkin pie--not pecan, cherry or lemon meringue. Coffee from Sumatra, not South America.

--Sour dough bread, not white or potato.

--Scrambled eggs--not poached, easy over or sunny side up. Potatoes O’Brien--not hashed, mashed or boiled.

Homogenized milk and cottage cheese, not skim, 1, 2 or 3.8 percent.

Just thought society should know, in case a last meal is ordered for The Editor. (7 MARCH 2015) --30--
