Politics now rivals pedophilia as the most despised activity in America.

As the United States continues to experience the tortured 2000 presidential election, new standards emerge for hypocrisy, sycophancy, elitism, intimidation, venality, favoritism.

Politics first screws America by constitutionally ignoring a 300,000-plus national majority for Democratic candidate Al Gore in the popular vote.

Then politics gives us Florida, where partisan elected and appointed officials--including the secretary of state and county elections directors--blatantly let party affiliation directly influence their official duties.

Rampaging partisan bullies also disrupt and ultimately shut down the counting of ballot undervotes in one Florida county.

Lawyers representing Republican candidate George Dubya actively challenge manual counting of Florida's undervotes--even though Gov. Bush Lite signed into law a mandatory manual recount of undervotes in his state.

It's just politics as usual.(10 DECEMBER 2000)
