ResurrectionThe band Angel Witch was first formed in England in 1978 by Kevin Heybourne. Angel Witch was one of the original NWOBHM bands. The original Angel Witch line up was Kevin Heybourne on vocals and guitar, Kevin Riddles on bass and Dave Hogg on drums.
Angel Witch influenced such bands as Metallica and MegaDeth just to mention a few. Angel Witch often shared the bill with Iron Maiden during the early days of the NWoBHM, and EMI signed both bands.Angel Witch released the "Sweet Danger" single on 7" and 12" in 1980.

The band then shared the Bronze Record label with Motorhead and released a once in a decade classic "Angel Witch" in 1980 and then the EP "Loser" in 1981. Kevin Heybourne put together a new line up Kevin Heybourne on guitar and vocals, Pete Gordelier on bass, and Spencer Hollman on drums, and recorded two more albums "Screamin' 'n' Bleedin'" in 1986 and "Frontal Assault" in 1987 on Killerwatt In 1990, Metal Blade released a live Angel Witch album. At the same time Angel Witch while re-located in San Francisco went into Prairie Sun Studios and recorded a 3 song demo with the new line up, Kevin Heybourne on guitar and vocals, Jon Torres on bass, and Tom Hunting on drums. Before the demo could be released, Kevin Heybourne was reported and deported back to England. The demo still sits in the vaults of Prairie Sun. Ever since, Kevin Heybourne and Jon Torres sent tapes back in forth never giving up the love of Angel Witch or continuing to write music.

In 1997 Jon Torres went to England after many efforts to get Kevin back to the States to record. Kevin and Jon went into a small studio in England and started on a 3 song demo. This demo/EP was released by the band to it's fans by the name "Resurrection" in 1998. Because of the strong response from the fans when AngelWitch put up their own web site, the band decided to release a few other tapes never released. A 1987 4 song EP called"Psychopathic". The other tape they released was "Twist Of The Knife" the three song demo recorded in 1990.Later the band decided to release all three demos on one CD as "Resurrection", now available through  web site Angel Witch.
After an over whelming amount of e-mails orders and support from fans all over the world, Angel Witch decided to reform to do shows and a new album.
In 1999 Castle Communications re-released all of Angel Witch's classics which is on the market today. Angel Witch also signed a deal with a company in the UK to soon release a re-mixed version of the Angel Witch classics and a few surprises.

GREAT NEWS: The come back of one of the most important bands of the called NWOBHM, and considered a legend by the underground.Kevin Heybourne (Vocals/guitar/ban’s leader) maintains his characteristic and unique voice almost intact. Pure heavy metal riffs are , mixed with melodics on guitar and vocals.Ten tracks, acceptable production and a plain cover complete the package.Songs like "silent but deadly" show the style that made angel witch so known during the first half of the 80’s.On the b side "Scrape the well" delivers a pure and raw sound that reminds us of old black Sabbath, drums on this promo tape were handled by Tom Hunting (Exodus) guaranteeing the good performance.
We hope they get signed soon and a long awaited album is released…Metal for ever!!
