I miss my beloved Duchess very much because these 14yrs she's like my daughter. I miss her barking, miss carrying her, miss calling her to sleep, miss cooking for her to eat, miss her calling me when she wants to sit on the chair with me, miss everything about her. When I wake up she's not around, when I come back from work she's not around, miss seeing her at the door wagging her tail and smiling. How I wish she's here. I love her very much. Hope angels look after her in heaven and she gets everything she wants. May God bless her.

Dear Duchess,
you came into my life when I was nine years old and you've been part of the
family for fourteen years but it felt as if you've been around since forever
and will be around forever. Fourteen years is a long time but it's not long
enough. You've always been a healthy girl with no major ailments and thus it
came as a shock when you were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus but I thought
you'll overcome it. Diabetes mellitus is not supposed to be life threatening
by itself but you developed a host of other problems. I was heartbroken when
you passed away on the way home from the vet on Valentine's Day. It's just so
painful looking at you so cold and lifeless. Life is just so different without
you. Coming home and not seeing you at the door looking happy to see me, waking
up and not seeing you snuggle comfortably in my bed, eating and not seeing you
jumping around and barking and so on, all these require getting used to. You've
been an amazing companion for the past fourteen years and I miss you greatly.
You will always be in my heart. Rest in peace
and may God bless you.
