“Lucky why is it that every time you have a surprise for me I have to feel like i’m getting ready to walk a plank?” Liz asked teasingly from underneath a blindfold.
“If you didn’t wear it, it wouldn’t be a surprise, would it?” Lucky
said with a smile. “Well it’s time,” he said.
“Time for what?” asked Liz.
“Time to walk the plank,” he said as he took off her blindfold. Liz’s eyes opened wide when she realized that they were at the garden where they had first danced at Wyndamere. Liz turned toLucky and said, “Lucky, this is beautiful, but why are we here?”
“Well in case you don’t know, it’s been one month today since we said our vows. So I brought you here to give you this.” He handed her a package. “And for us to relive our first dance again.” Liz leaned over and gave Lucky a tight hug and a long kiss.
Lucky grinned and said, “All this and you haven’t even opened your present?” He motioned to the package in Liz’s hands. Liz undid the wrapping and gave a little gasp when she realized that it was the picture they had taken at the No Name restaurant. “Lucky where did you get this?” she asked him?
He gave her a mysterious smile and said, “I have my ways. There’s more in there you know.”
Liz felt deeper in the box and pulled out another small frame and inside the frame was the blank fortune they had gotten the other day. Before she could say anything about it, she saw that there was one more thing in the box. She reached in and pulled out a small charm for her charm bracelet in the shape of a flower just like the one she had taken from the No Name.
Liz turned to Lucky with tears in her eyes and said, “How is it that every time I think I can’t love you anymore, you do something so amazing that I do?”
Lucky’s only reply was to pull Liz close to him and they began to dance. A little while later, Lucky leads Liz over to a little bench. “You know, for some reason ever since Valentines Day I haven’t been able to stop smiling, and I just want you to know that not once have I regretted the vows we made.”
“Well I don’t regret saying them either,” said Liz. “Like I said before, I love you so much.”
“I know,” said Lucky. “I just wanted to make sure you knew that I have what I want, and all I want is this (he touches her nose as he says this) Elizabeth.”
Then Lucky starts to sing “Elizabeth.”
