This my dear friend
Tina. Where do I start with this woman.
I met this
spunky little woman, January 1984.
I was taking
a CNA course and sat next to this mouthy
little
person. We instantly kindled a
friendship. We did
everything together.
We had the type of
relationship
that we could be totally honest with
each other, even
if it made you mad, you appreciated the
honesty. No holds bar...Loved it! True
friendship!
November 19, 1993 we found out this
vibrant woman had
luekemia. She had the worst kind, the
kids luekemia.
Kids usually can survive it, but adults
when they
contract it, sad to say usually die
from it.
She fought a good
fight though. She was bound and
determined to live
the rest of her days happy and full of
life. You
could tell her to slow down, but she
would give you
that little onery grin, and say "back
off".
She
died July 12, 1996, about two weeks
after my mother
in laws demise. Which it also happened
to be my,
39th birthday. I remember going to the
hospital and
sitting by her bed, whispering into her
ear, "You
don't think I could remember this day,
without you
dying
on my birthday?" Even in her weakest
state, she
looked at me and gave me that onery
smile...
She was
34 years old. I miss that onery smile!
