Metal MUST come back. Lita Ford has it right. It's not done yet! Grunge
killed metal.
Instead of being angry, we just stopped caring. And the slacker generation
was born.
But there are so many of us out there that are still angry! That still
wanna ROCK!
Actually, from a sociological standpoint, the death of 80s metal makes
sense...the 1980's
were a time of gluttony and decadence, and the metal of the time typified
the era. Reaganomics,
the "Just Say No' campaign, and the PMRC made many of us angry and
metal was a great
way to fight back and have fun. The early 90's brought in grunge and
the slacker phase, a
time of just not giving a damn anymore...and now, it's the
new millenium, it is a
kinder, gentler time......Yeah, bullshit! It's time to PARTY! It's time to ROCK!
2000...the party of the millenium...BRING BACK THE ROCK!
