*The Past Attacks! Journey to the Future.* Hey, welcome to my next installment of Sailor Moon CH. I have been working on my writing, so this one should be better than the last few... also longer. Be sure to send any comments to DarkKnight119@rocketmail.com and visit me at https://www.angelfire.com/or/ocg/index.html! Okay, enough chitchat, let's go! It was fall in Tokyo, and everyone was preparing to drag themselves back to school. There was work to do, things to improve on, and of course, shopping to be done. The Sailor Scouts were caught up in the bustle of the season, so quickly after the last attack by the new enemy. The Scouts had found some time out of their schedules to lounge around in Rei's shrine, and were pouring over Rei's manga as they discussed Scout business. After a while of chatting, they heard a large SLAM! And saw Cansey skid into the room. "Ouch," said Rei, "Easy with the door, will ya?" "Sorry," said Cansey sheepishly. "Look, I have some urgent stuff for you." "Well?" said Luna, sitting up beside Serena. "What is it?" "Well, it all started this morning. I was on the bluff about a mile or two from the edge of the forest and I saw an odd light. It came down through the sky and landed a half a mile from where I was. Of course, I went to check it out." she drew out something from behind her back. "And I found this." In her arms was a peeping, chirping... Luna-P?! Dumbfounded, everyone looked at the sphere. Why, they hadn't seen one since Rini went back to the future! Ami took out her computer and started scanning it. "Hmm... there seems to be a stored message... Serena, press the nose," said Ami. "Why does it have to be meeee?" moaned Serena, but she was cut off by Rei. "Just do it, Meatball Head. Luna-P won't bite." Sighing, Serena pressed the nose. Luna-P's left eye turned into a transparent screen, and the picture of a tall, green-haired woman, Sailor Pluto, appeared in it. A distressed look was on her normally serene face. "Sailor Scouts of the past," she adressed, "A situation has risen which requires your attention." The image on the screen shifted to a fuzzy view of Crystal Tokyo, shrouded in darkness. One by one, figures emerged from the gloom, attacking and destroying everything in sight. "Oh my god," moaned Mina, looking at the screen. Sailor Pluto continued. "As you can see, the situation is grim. Unknown forces have desended on Crystal Tokyo, and the power of the future scouts alone is not enough to stop the onslaught, so we require your services. When this message is through, use the enclosed Time Key to travel to my realm. Hurry! Time is of the essence." The image flickered out as Luna-P's mouth opened, revealing a key similar to Rini's. Serena grabbed it and fingered it over. "Well," she said. "I guess we have to go back to the future." *** "Ready?" asked Tuxedo Mask, looking around at the assembled Sailor Scouts and Knights. One by one they nodded. Sailor Moon looked at the Time Key in her hands, then at the sky. "Let's do this. Time Key, take us to the future!" shouted Sailor Moon. The key started glowing, and the group was lifted into the air. Suddenly they were gone, taken to a realm where time did not pass. Sailor Pluto stood in the mists. Upon seeing the Scouts, she bowed, then straightened herself. Grimly, she began to speak. "I see you got my message, Princess." said Pluto. "Yeah," said Dark Flare. "Any clue as to who those things are?" asked Jupiter. "Yes," said Dark Flare. "They are shock troops. Apparently Flare has gotten tired of the one-monster thing." "Shock troops- how many?" asked Mercury. "Too many to count. There's too many to fight, that's for sure." "Then how do we defeat them?" asked Sailor Venus. "There is one way. The Shock Troops have a controller. Once I overheard Flare saying that he contained the life force of all the troops. It is possible, if we destroy him, the other troops will die," said Dark Flare. "But where's the controller?" asked Sailor Moon. "That's the problem-" said Dark Flare. She was cut off by Sailor Pluto. "Enough! We have no time to waste." Sailor Pluto tapped her staff on the ground, and the Door of Time creaked open, revealing the great beyond. One by one, the Sailor Scouts, Tuxedo Mask, and Dark Flare stepped beyond the door and into the future. *** Crystal Tokyo was even more of a dismal sight than it had been during the Negamoon's attack. Shards of crystal were scattered everywhere and the approach of the Shock Troops could be clearly seen. Even now explosions and shouts could be heard in the heart of the palace. "Hello, Sailor Scouts of the past," said a serene voice. "Neo-Queen Serenity!" said Sailor Jupiter. "Uh... hi." "Hello," said Neo-Serenity, stepping out from the shadows. "It is good to see you face to face. I must tell you what has happened. "A few days ago, two ships of unknown origin entered Earth Space, the area within the Moon and Earth's orbits. The carriers landed outside Crystal Tokyo. Scouts were dispatched, but they never returned. It appears that Flare, the one from the past, is leading them," Neo-Queen Serenity finished with a sigh. "You need to help us." "We have to," said Sailor Moon, "the future depends on it." "Yeah," said Cansey. "We need to find the Shock Troop controller. It's the only way." "There has been an odd energy source to the north, but..." said Neo-Queen Serenity, trailing off. "But what?" "It is surrounded by these 'shock troops.'" "Well, then we'll fight," said a new voice behind Neo-Queen Serenity. The Past Sailor Scouts turned toward the sound of the voice. Standing there was a taller version of Sailor Jupiter. From out of the shadows stepped five other figures. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Tuxedo Mask, and Dark Flare stood before the Past Sailor Scouts. The two Sailor Mercuries scanned each other, grinned, and shook hands. Both of the Sailor Marses smiled. The Sailor Jupiters got into a short arm-wrestling match (which ended with Past Sailor Jupiter jumping around yelling "Ow! Ow!") The two Sailor Venuses looked each other over and grinned widley. Tuxedo Mask and Prince Darien shook hands. The two Dark Flares cracked faint smiles under their masks. Neo-Queen Serenity and Sailor Moon gave big impish grins. "Hiya!" said a small voice from behind Neo-Queen Serenity. "Hey, Rini," said Sailor Mercury, ruffling the child's hair. "What's going on?" "We're in trouble, and you guys need to fight for us," said Rini, gazing up at the past Sailor Scout. "That's why we're here, Rini," said Past Sailor Jupiter. *** The streets of Crystal Tokyo were deserted as the Sailor Scouts of the past and future walked down them. Both of the Sailor Mercuries scanned every nook and cranny of the city. Suddenly, a steady beep came from Past Mercury's mini computer. "Watch out!" she cried, pushing Sailor Moon out of the way just as a black streak smashed into the ground where she had been. The streak straightened itself, then, in a garbled voice it began to speak. "Sailor Scouts, enemies of Lord Flare, surrender now and be spared!" "Not on your life, Negaverse fool!" shouted Future Sailor Mars. "Mars... Flame... Sniper!" The blazing arrow cut the Shock Troop in half. It slumped over, shouting a final command into a communications headset before it died. Suddenly, half a dozen black streaks appeared around the Scouts, then ten more. And ten more. And ten more. The streets were clogged with the enemy. Two of the shock troops extended their hands, slamming future Sailor Mars into a building. "Mars!" cired future Sailor Jupiter. "That's it. Jupiter Oak Evolution!" Oak leaves struck out, slicing up many of the enemy, but they were replaced by more. The Shock Troops overpowered future Sailor Jupiter, sending her careening into a lamp post. "Jupiter... don't worry, I've got it. Rolling Heart Vibration!" yelled future Sailor Venus. The spiraling attack slammed many more of the enemy into oblivion, but that did not stop them from incapitating future Sailor Venus with their energy attacks. Future Mercury looked at the past Scouts. "It's up to you now. Merury Aqua Rehaspritory!" The attack knocked out more of the enemy, but it was no use. The Shock Troops overpowered future Mercury, the last of the future Scouts. Future Dark Flare looked at the enemy, fire in her eyes. Lifting her right fist into the air, she let out a shout. "Power of Phobos, help us defeat the true Evil!" A mark of a flame started to glow on the warrior's hand, its blue-white enigma traveling up her arm and covering her torso. The blue glow covered the warrior's body, igniting into flames. Dark Flare's cold eyes stared out from the inferno. She stretched her staff into the sky. It, too, was part of the fire. Both ends flattened out to become blades of pure flame. Dark Flare charged into the enemies. A few of the controllers fell from the onslaught, but soon the firey hero was brought down. The past Sailor Scouts looked at each other. It was up to them now. But even the Sailor Scouts could not withstand what was coming. From behind the streaks of black arose a huge being. It seemed to be a larger version of the others, but with a pure black cape flowing off of its shoulders. The great being rattled off a few clicks in its own language, calling off the beasts. Then, with a great swipe of its hands, it knocked all of the Sailor Scouts off their feet. The great beast lumbered over to the fallen form of Sailor Moon, barely concious from her hard fall. It lifted a great hand... "Watch it!" yelled Sailor Mars. She brought herself to her feet, dove, and pushed Sailor Moon out of the way of the beast's fist, taking the blow for Sailor Moon. "What the-" mumbled Sailor Moon, coming out of her stupor. Her eyes widened. "Mars? What are you doing?" "Quiet, Meatball Head," said Sailor Mars, wincing. "I... just... saved... your... LIFE!" Mars hurled Sailor Moon out of the way just as a blast of energy slammed into her back. Mars crumpled over with a moan. "Oh my god! Mars!" shouted Sailor Moon. She looked around. Everyone else was unconcious. The Controller loomed before her, eyes burning. It raised its fist for the deadly blow... Suddenly, Sailor Moon heard a whisper, silent as the wind that carried through the streets of Crystal Tokyo. Two chilling words were spoken. "Dead Scream." A purple orb of energy shot out from nowhere and struck the evil one in the back. Sailor Moon took the oppritunity to look around. "Who's there?" "It is I, the Guardian of Time," said a familiar voice. From out of the shadows stepped Sailor Pluto, garnet staff at ready. "Well? What are you waiting for?" "Moon Wand Activation!" The beam of energy shot out, destroying the blinded enemy. Throughout the city a great cry was heard. One by one, the enemy dissipated into dark dust that coated the city streets. Sailor Moon was about to turn to her friends when a roar reached her ears. "So!" said Flare. "You have defeated the enemy, have you not? Well, I will still win! I will take the life of this one!" Flare was holding a blade above past Dark Flare's body. Despite his speech, Flare looked a little uneasy. He jabbed the blade down toward Dark Flare, but something made him stop. Recomposing himself, he looked Sailor Moon grimly in the eye. "I will let you slide this time, but when we meet again, Sailor Moon, the outcome will be different!" With that, he dissappeared into the night. Sailor Pluto helped up the future Sailor Scouts, then turned to Sailor Moon. "You should return to the past now. There is still much for you to accomplish there." Pluto threw Moon a Time Key. "Go." Sailor Moon looked at her friends, who were slowly coming back to earth. She looked down at the key, and then activated it. Back to the past. *** "So, he was about to kill me, but stopped?" asked Cansey. The Scouts were back in the past, each one of them nursing some sort of injury. Sailor Moon nodded, then winced. "Owwwww..." Sailor Mars smiled. "Cut it, Meatball Head. Yeah, that's what happened." "Dark Gas... hmm..." said Cansey. "Wha-?" "It's a default in the Dark Gas. If the warrior infected with it tries to kill someone in cold blood without any support, they'll have a hard time doing it, if they can," said Cansey. "He's infected, so we can get him back." "What?" "Hey, you got Tux Man back, didn't you?" "Well, yeah, but..." "So, we'll do that to Flare!" "Oh great," muttured Mina. "We just got battered, you'd think she'd let us take a break." But it was too late. Cansey had already run off, yelling "OW!"(No, not Otaku Wars- ed.) every few seconds. ********************************************************************************************* So how'd ya like it? The next fic is going to be the last, at which point I'll start on two other projects, one comedy and one action (heh, Cansey's gonna be in the action one!) anyway, I'll revamp my site to hold all the projects, but until then, see ya!
