Rambin Family: Colonial Louisiana Pioneers

This picture was taken shortly before my grandma, Sadie Tilitha Blue (Mrs. Aubrey Rambin) died of cancer in 1947.  She was 28. She also left behind four young sons, Millard, Carroll, Rex and Mark Rambin.  She is shown in this picture with her siblings.

Sadie was followed to heaven by  her husband:  Millard Aubrey Rambin ( 1910 to 1-26-1963) and her son: Mark Rambin 1944-1981 
They are buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rambin Community, DeSoto Parish, Louisiana.

James Peter Blue was born the youngest of six children on 10-18-1874 to John Cameron Blue (1843-1913) Moore County NC and Winsey Turner Ulmer (1842-1935) of Mississippi . James died 12-19-1943 at age 69 and is buried  in Beulah, near Marthasville, in Natchitoches Parish, LA. His parents are laid to rest at Zion's Rest Cemetery, Wallace, DeSoto Parish, Louisiana.
Mattie Tilitha Blankenship Free was born 4-19-1884 and died 7-4-1934 in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana.  There is a large Blankenship family listed in Green County Tennessee in 1870's (Knoxville area) and a family by the name of Free who travelled from Virginia to Tennessee and on to Kentucky. I do not know the origin of Mattie Tilitha Blankenship Free at this time.    Mattie was 28 when they got married. Her name would suggest a previous marriage, but I do not know of other children. Anyone with information please contact me!
