'What are we going to do Teaspoon?' Kid asked concern in his eyes looking at the sky

'I think we should call a town meeting, warn everybody what might be coming' Buck spoke quietly

'Good idea Buck, Kid go and get Lou and Rachel, Buck wake Jimmy and Cody.' Teaspoon issued orders

'I'll go and tell Thompkins to call a town meeting for noon today.' Teaspoon spoke

"What else can we do?' Buck asked quietly

"Nothing Buck except pray that maybe the gods will spare us' Teaspoon spared one last glance at the horizon, before he turned and walked back towards the barn

'Should we tell jimmy and Cody?' Kid asked

'For them to ridicule us, you know what Cody is like with superstitions and spirits' Buck spoke

'I'll go and tell Lou and Rachel' Kid spoke as he started the walk back towards the house.

Buck resumed his solitary post at the end of the porch, he knew of only one place where they may already have some idea of what Buck was feeling. He turned on his heel and walked into the bunkhouse. He emerged several minutes later wearing his vest, buckskin trousers, Ikes bandanna around his head, his knife strapped to his right leg. Crossing to the barn, he emerged soon after on the bareback of his horse, a hank of the horses mane in each hand. He turned to look up at Lou's window and seeing her concerned gaze on him he waved to her and smiled reassuringly before he spurred his mount into action.

"where's Buck going Kid?' she murmured as he encircled her waist with his arms and placed a gentle kiss on the side of her neck.

'He didn't say Lou' Kid answered

'Is he alright?' she asked reservedly almost afraid to hear the answer

'He is concerned about the weather, he and Teaspoon seem to think that there is something going to happen.'

"Like What?' Lou frowned turning in his arms trying to understand what he was saying to her.

'Teaspoon thinks that we might get a tornado.' Kid answered knowing that this news would disturb his young wife.

'What should we do?' she murmured

'Teaspoon is not sure yet, he's going to call a town meeting tomorrow unless the conditions change.

'So I guess its time to go down for breakfast' she places a tender gentle kiss on his lips

'Well we've got a little while, Jimmy and Cody are still asleep' he smiled at his beautiful wife.

She slipped out of his arms and returned to the bedside extending a hand to her husband.

Buck rode hard and fast to the last location he knew of his brothers tribal camp. When he arrived at the now deserted camp site, he knew that he wasn't the only one that had had a bad feeling about the weather. The Kiowa camp had been disassembled and moved. Buck followed the their tracks for a short time, he found the slow moving tribe no more that two miles away. Riding to the front of the procession he greeted his brother with a smile and a hug from horseback

'Come with us my brother' Red Bear spoke sombrely not sparing any time.

'Where are you going?' Buck asked

'The spirits have told us of trouble coming, we are moving to safer ground. Come with us Running Buck' Red Bear once again asked his younger brother

'I must stay with my Pony Express family Red Bear' he answered without a moments hesitation.

Red Bear nodded sagely and touched his brothers chest "The heart of the Kiowa is strong in you my brother, but your family is in the whiteman's world. Go Running Buck, I will ask the God's to keep you and your family safe' he hugged his brother

'Will I see you again?' Buck asked not sure of his brothers answer

'I hope so my brother, but the God's are angry, I will come to find you if I can' he embraced his brother again, then touched his chest 'and if I cannot find you, you know you can find me in here'

'Go now my brother, before it is too late.'

Buck took one last look at his brother and spurred his horse into action and rode hell for leather towards Rock Creek praying that he got back before all hell broke loose.
