This is an article I wrote early in my career as a sociology professor...while teaching fulltime as an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Political Science at the University of Wisconsin Center in Marinette County (this is now called the UW Colleges). I essentially use similar assignments today...while the philosophy remains very much the same.
