Did anyone else notice that Dragonmount was smoking at the end of tPoD? Check out the scene where Egwene gallops through the gateway into the snow outside Tar Valon. What if it were to erupt?

Think back to tGH as Rand experiences his alternate lives through the Portal Stone on the way to Toman Head ? In one scenario, he lives his whole life in Emond's Field, then goes to fight forces of the Dark One as they advance on the Two Rivers. As he is killed at the Taren, he watches the sky grow dark at noon. I always wondered if that was an eclipse .... or .... ash from a huge volcano eruption - Dragonmount perhaps?

Which brings to mind that such an event (eclipse or eruption temporarily causing darkness) might occur during Tarmon Gaidon. "Twice dawns the day ..." etc. A smoking Dragonmount could just be a precursor to a later eruption.
