How does Eric Braeden envision Victor as a character?  “Hard.  Tough man.  Based on a very rough childhood.  He grew up as an orphan, which was my suggestion to the show because I wanted to explain his ways.  There may be some intrinsically evil people in the world, but, generally speaking, there are certain explanations for people with such behaviour.  If he had any redeeming qualities, I felt they should be explained.  Or, the explanation would be the redeeming quality."    --Daytimers, September 1982

Nikki and Kevin

Just when Victor had changed his mind, and was ready to tell Nikki that Victoria was his, that he wanted them both, and that he loves her with all his heart, Nikki came to tell him that she was happy with Kevin... (Victor and Nikki - misunderstanding take one.) Alison wanted to break Nikki and Kevin up, so she talked to Leroy, the manager of the Bayou and told him to talk Nikki into stripping again. Leroy told Nikki that the Bayou was in a bad shape, and that he is thinking about taking his own life. Nikki agreed to do her act, just a few more times to pick business up again. While Nikki was dancing, Allison told Kevin to head over there. He came over with the baby and was appalled. Nikki broke down and started to cry on the stage.

At the same time, Leroy was threatened that if he didn't make a tape of Nikki stripping he would die and so would Nikki. Leroy arranged it secretly because he knew Nikki would never agree.

Soon after Alison figured out Victor was the father, she decided that she would put an end to her son's marriage to Nikki. She hired Rick Daros to pass himself off to Kevin as an investor. Her plan was that Rick would get involved with Nikki.

Eve Howard

Victor's former secretary, Eve Howard came back to town. When she found out that Victor wrote her son Cole into his will, Eve planned to kill him to get her hands on the inheritance. Victor's personal cook was on vacation and Eve took it upon herself to prepare Victor's meals. She had her friend Max, who would poison Victor slowly. Julia, Victor's ex, called a doctor who told her Victor needs rest. Victor and Julia were about to go to Tahiti together when Eve called Julia and told her that Victor went to Tahiti by himself and he did not want her with him. In reality, Victor was suffering at the ranch. Eve's friend Max passed as a doctor who told Victor that he would feel better soon, and gave him medication that made his condition worse. Victor was getting weaker by the moment. He gave his dinner to his dog, Albert (never thought of Victor as a dog lover) and he got poisoned. Julia found the dog and figured out what happened.

Victor came up with a plan - he proposed to Eve. Max flipped out. Julia helped Eve get ready, but when they reached the house the paramedics were carrying out a covered body. They told Eve Victor had died.

During the funeral Victor looked at the mourners. After the burial, Max told Eve to get the body cremated, so that no one would find the leftover poison. When Eve returned to the ranch, she started imagining Victor all over the place. She built a shrine in Victor's bedroom and had the coffin placed on the bed. Eve and Max got married there.

After the ceremony, Max hit Eve and put her into the coffin. The police arrived at the barn where Max impaled himself on the pitchfork. Victor felt so sorry for Eve that he did not put her in jail, but had her committed to a mental institution.

Rick Daros

Just as Alison planned, Rick was getting closer to Nikki - he romanced her, said sweet things to her, encouraged her, and was always at the Bayou. One day, as they made out in her dressing room, she heard Victor had died. She was grief stricken. Kay did not like Nikki's affair with Rick at all, and she wanted it to end. She wondered if she should tell Nikki that Victor was Victoria's real father, now that Victor was gone. But she had given Victor her word... After Victor's funeral, when Nikki left town for a few days to get away, Kay sent her a letter about Vicki's paternity. Victor - when he got back, told Kay to find the letter before Nikki would, but Rick got to the letter first and kept it.

When Nikki returned, she came to Victor's grave, to say goodbye for the last time and was stunned when he showed up and told her about his hoax.

Victor's return from the death

Nikki decided to ask Kevin for a divorce to be with Rick and flew to Tahiti with him.

Tony DiSalvo

But Nikki had also had other problems. Tony DiSalvo appeared with a Porno tape which showed Nikki stripping and a double, Boobsie, in sex acts. It looked like Nikki did the whole tape, and Allison got temporary custody of Victoria and took her to San Francisco. Victor was on an extended trip and Nikki had to deal with the problem herself. She decided to lure Tony to propose to her and then give her the tape as a wedding gift. Paul and Andy tried to talk her out of it, to no avail. At the end Tony was shot after the ceremony (the marriage was never consummated and therefore illegal) and Nikki hid out at Victor's till the truth came out. But Alison already took off with Victoria to parts unknown. Rick found out  where they were, flew there and showed Allison the letter from Kay, stating that Victor was the baby's father and therefore Allison has no claim over her. He returned the baby to her mother, and came off as the hero.

Paul and Andy were hired by Kevin to find out the truth about Rick, they found out he had a dead wife. Later, Andy and Diane (yes, THAT Diane) found out about this young couple who had a terrible Scuba diving accident and the wife died....
