Oregon Falls

Head out tward Diamond Lake, not sure the hwy number. You will come into the town of Glide, right at the beginning of town, there is a turn off, across from the colliding rivers, make that right turn onto little river road. Its a two lane hwy, Wolf Creek Falls is the first one you will come to. You cant miss it, there is a large beautiful walking bridge over little river. Second would be Grotto Falls. Keep heading away from Wolf Creek, The pavement will end, and shortly after, you should come to a sign saying Emile Shelter, Grotto Falls, it will be a left turn. Just follow the signs. For Yakso Falls, you would contiune past the turn for Grotto Falls tward Lake in the Woods, the falls/trail head is directly across from Lake in the Woods recreation area. You park in the recreation area, cross the dirt road to the trail head. Gosh, I hope I havent gotten anyone lost! lol If you get to Hemlock Lake, you have gone too far, but thats ok, cause Hemlock Lake is beautiful, as you will see below.. Many happy hikes to you!!!!

**New Hikes!!!** (yesss...)
We went on a day hike to three falls, it was cold, and there was snow along some of the roads, so we didnt get to the third one we were hoping to get to. Follow the link to see the new ones!

Wolf Creek

These falls are so pretty. The hike to get to them is pretty easy, it is a long one, about 1.3 mile(s) in, but what a destination. We were there pretty early in the day, so we passed only one person on our way back out. By the time we were done that day, driving home we passed the lot, it was full of cars. So we suggest if you want to be alone on the trial, to go early in the day.

Grotto Falls

The hike to get to these falls was a little harder than to wolf creek. Mostly uphill, about 3/4 mile in, These falls are pretty cool, because you can walk behind them. When we got there, there were a few people hiking as well, the trial is pretty steep and narrow, so it was a bit of a drag trying to set up the tripod to get this shot.

Yakso Falls

These falls were by far the best of the day, about 1/2 mile in, one of the easiest hikes. Pretty even terrain. There is a log style bridge just before you get to the fall. The trail narrows just after the bridge. You can go down to the water, and if you dont mind freezing it is a pretty decent swimmin hole. The entrance to the hike is right across the dirt road from Lake in the Woods.
