Cam Lo District

The following photos are ones I took in Con Thien, Cam Lo, and Quang Tri.

On February 2, 1968, Delta Co. 1st Bn 4 Marines was involved in a heavy action at the Cam Lo District Headquarters. Corporal Larry L. Maxam received a Medal of Honor for his actions. Several web sites document his citation which I think I typed up. See Bob Carr's site and Neil Mishalow's site for photo and information on Cpl Maxam. I did not know Cpl Maxam and did not visit the HQ site.
