Dong Ha Base Camp

Every morning around 0430 we were greeted by a rocket barrage complements of Ho Chi Minh. They flew over our area and hit the base about a mile from us. This usually started burnings of fuel dumps or ammo storage areas. The following are snapshots of these events.

DONG HA AMMO BLOWUP(Jun 68)
We were woke up in the usual way but this day was different. Rockets hit the Sea Bee area and all hell broke loose. These photo were taken around 1000. 105's were flying everywhere but fortunately they were dud's. H&S Co next door had one go thru their roof and out the floor (see photos). The mess hall was tilted at a 45 degree angle due to the many concusions that hit it. A 105 dud landed under our back porch. I was 5 feet away.
