The Hedge Knight (Dabel Brothers Production) George R. R. Martin’s epic tale A Song of Ice and Fire is an immense saga set in the world of the Seven Kingdoms, a land where seasons have been thrown out of balance, with summer and winter both lasting for years. A Song of Ice and Fire begins with three noble families, the Baratheons, The Lannisters and the Starks, conspiring to depose of their insane king and take control of the kingdom. After the overthrow, the balance of power amongst the three families is unsettled and a game of thrones ensues. Roughly one hundred years prior to these events, comes the story of The Hedge Knight. Darkness falls over the life of one noble knight and brings the dawn of his squire’s knighthood. Dubbing himself ‘Ser Duncan the Tall’, ‘The Hedge Knight’ sets forth to the tourney at Ashford Meadow in search of fame and glory and the honor of upholding his oath as a knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Unfortunately for him, the world isn’t ready for a knight who keeps his oaths, and his chivalrous methods could be the very cause of his demise.
