On the day I bought Oliver he was a small very
cute pied black gerbil. All the way home my
sister and I looked at the two little gerbils.
Mine the cute little Oreo colored one, hers a
sweet looking agouti. We bought them thinking
they were sisters but a few weeks later after a
closer examination I found out that my little
sweet girl gerbil was anything but a girl. We
split the two up as soon as possible. Just in
time before Oliver got to curious about the
little female in his cage. I learned more about
these cute little rodents and decided to try my
hand at genetics. I learned it pretty well and
started to really enjoy it. So next I had to try
to work the genetics in real life and start
breeding.
I went back to the pet store and bought
another female. She was also a pied black and
because of the month I bought her in she was
promptly named April. Her and Oliver got along
wonderful and soon added to our little farm
of critters with their first of 3 litters
before Olivers early death.
After Oliver died at just over a year old I knew
April would not be happy alone so i decided to
fine another mate for her ...
