Chirita 'Kazu':

[5/24/01]
A very floriferous and undemanding Chirita with a fountain growth form, and tends (OK, insists on) multi-crowned growth. This is a plant just coming into bloom for the first time, at about one year old from a leaf cutting. 10 days after this picture, The plant is absolutely covered with flowers, with more bloomscapes having come up and opened, and even more on the way. The flowers tend to drop before they have wilted, so there's a scattering of fresh flowers around the pot- but they are replaced faster than they drop. I leave the litter of flowers until they dry out, it gives a fairyland effect to the table it's on.
(Scale: 2.5" pot)
