We can lean on each other

Til the tears run dry

Just two forsaken former lovers

Who have finally found one who understands why

Seem to ease everyday

It seems the help we give each other

Helps in every way

We refuse to call it love

For that's not what it is

Rather a friendship that runs deep,

Deeper than what we've lately missed

But there is no problem there

We keep it as friends, there when we need be

We've just needed someone who understands to care
