This is a picture,  taken from Northview Avenue, in the South New Castle Borough, on the Sheep Hill, looking north over New Castle.   Years ago, as a kid,  you could see all of the town from up here, but the trees have grown up so much, they block the view.

At the upper center of the picture you can see the Scottish Rite Cathedral,  home to one of the finest concert halls in the tri-state area and has hosted many celebrity performances such as the Pittsburgh Symphony three times last year and Seinfeld this past Winter.

Looking North over New Castle

This picture was taken from the parking lot of the Madonna Parish , just across the street from the K.Pulaski Club.   This shot is looking East, at the Sheep Hill,  from the upper west side of New Castle. As I took this, I realized that I was standing two short blocks from the house where my parents lived when I was born,   High Street.   My Dad remembers the address and the house is still there.   The church at the left side of the picture, with the tall steeple, is St. Phillips and James.  My parents house is on the other side of the hill from where you view this shot.   That would be the East side of Sheep Hill.
