RENFIELD THE WEREWOLF

In all of the Halloweens that I have seen over the years, I had never dressed as a werewolf. I decided to give it a shot for Halloween 2001. I purchased some theatrical hair and glue and anxiously awaited my chance to be a werewolf.

I had no idea how it would turn out. I got up really early that morning and shaved and showered. Then I immediately began to work on my transformation.

I started with the makeup. I colored my face brown and added black to the end of my nose. I added lines under my eyes and shadows on my nose and cheeks.

I added powder to set the makeup and then began to apply the hair with glue. Things started coming together very well, and before long, I had hair coming out from all directions.

I trimmed the hair and fluffed it up. I glued hair on my hands. Adding a long wig that I had put together from a couple of hair pieces, the effect was pretty creepy.

I wore a long gray coat with a vest and added lace. I wanted to give my werewolf character a refined, Victorian look. I decided to name my werewolf Renfield. I discovered this name from a character in the original "Dracula" film from the 1930s.

This was my one and only portrayal of Renfield the Werewolf.
